Namely how negative interest rates are ultimately coming to the US and that many government agencies including of all things the US Post Office is stockpiling bullets to use on us if/when the system starts to crumble
The 'scariness' wasn't just what we expressed but to some of our readers who communicated with us, it was the first time they had ever heard of either piece of info..
Not to be sadistic but we may scare you some more today as we expand on the points from Friday..
For instance, we mentioned the ECB head (European Central Bank) Mario Draghi set interest rates to negative percent, a move of desperation that the media of course treated as a positive..
"Banks will most likely pass these negative interest rates on to consumers, or at least try to. They may try to do so not by explicitly charging a negative interest rate, but by paying no interest and charging a fee for account maintenance"
We've already seen pretty much the death of free checking but there are so many ways banks can siphon money from its depositors and if its co-ordinated, people will have nowhere to turn to escape..
For instance, beyond simply raising monthly fees, they can also raise cash minimums to avoid such fees. According to a Huffington Post survey taken last year, nearly half (41%) said they did not possess $500 in savings to cover an emergency..
A measly $500!
~ Pres. William McKinley is on the $500 bill..
So imagine how much money banks can steal from customers if they raise minimum deposits to avoid fees to just $1,000 or $2,000..
Then banks can also if they wanted start charging customers for direct-deposit. As it is currently, all Social Security checks are wired to bank accounts rather than a physical check sent in the mail..
The System loves sticking it to the poor and dependent..
Banks if they wanted could also transfer that negative interest by starting to charge fees to conduct online banking.
~ Pres. James Madison is on the $5,000 bill
Right now half of all Americans use online banking to pay bills, make transfers, check balances, etc, which is double what it was in 2009...
So many people are conditioned and dependent on online banking, they wouldn't know what to do.. Plus if banks charged lets say $3 monthly and a person had 8-10 bills to pay with stamps at 49 cents, many would say 'The hell with it" and figure $3 is still cheaper than $4-5 in stamps
Banks are insidious..
Now onto the bullets issue..
In 2012 alone, according to AP, the Social Security Administration bought 175 million rounds of hollow point bullets..
Specifically, ".357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow point pistol ammunition"
There are currently over 58 million people on Social Security so that's enough bullets to kill every elderly, disabled and dependent receiving assistance 3x with another million left over
Also in 2012, the DHS (Dept. of Homeland Security) bought some bullets..
Specifically 450 million rounds .40 caliber rounds which is enough to kill every American man, woman and child with enough left over to kill every person living in Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, Samoa, and a few left for a REAL enemy...
And its not just bullets..
From Forbes (3/11/13):
"[T]he Department of Homeland Security is apparently taking delivery (apparently through the Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico VA, via the manufacturer – Navistar Defense LLC) of an undetermined number of the recently retrofitted 2,717 ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ MaxxPro MRAP vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.”
These MRAP’s ARE BEING SEEN ON U.S. STREETS all across America by verified observers with photos, videos, and descriptions.”..
"As President Obama ushers in the end of what he called America’s “long season of war,” the former tools of combat — M-16 rifles, grenade launchers, silencers and more — are ending up in local police departments, often with little public notice.
During the Obama administration, according to Pentagon data, police departments have received tens of thousands of machine guns; nearly 200,000 ammunition magazines; thousands of pieces of camouflage and night-vision equipment; and hundreds of silencers, armored cars and aircraft...
Police SWAT teams are now deployed tens of thousands of times each year, increasingly for routine jobs. Masked, heavily armed police officers in Louisiana raided a nightclub in 2006 as part of a liquor inspection.
In Florida in 2010, officers in SWAT gear and with guns drawn carried out raids on barbershops that mostly led only to charges of “barbering without a license.”...
Today, crime has fallen to its lowest levels in a generation, the wars have wound down, and despite current fears, the number of domestic terrorist attacks has declined sharply from the 1960s and 1970s.
Police departments, though, are adding more firepower and military gear than ever. Some, especially in larger cities, have used federal grant money to buy armored cars and other tactical gear. And the free surplus program remains a favorite of many police chiefs who say they could otherwise not afford such equipment..
In the Indianapolis suburbs, officers said they needed a mine-resistant vehicle to protect against a possible attack by veterans returning from war...
Police in 38 states have received silencers, which soldiers use to muffle gunfire during raids and sniper attacks..."
