Trivia Tidbits in Honor of 'Dukes of Hazzard'

Since our last posting on Cowardly corporations, a piece of shit cable network called 'TV Land' owned by Viacom which also owns among other networks (BET) Black Entertainment Television, pulled the 70s TV show 'Dukes of Hazzard' off the air because the car, the 'General Lee' had a Confederate flag on its roof

Good thing the utter Morons who run the network don't realize the 'Beverly Hillbillies' and 'Andy Griffith Show' had episodes where the beautiful flag was displayed or they'd probably pull those shows off the airwaves as well..
We could vent more but instead we decided to make this a fun post by giving bits of trivia about the actors who starred in the show..

One thing we found interesting right off the top is none of the actors who play the Duke family i.e. Bo, Luke, Daisy & Uncle Jesse were born in the Confederate south!

Denver Pyle who played 'Uncle Jesse' was born in Colorado, Catherine Bach who played 'Daisy' was born in Ohio, Tom Wopat who played Luke Duke was born in Wisconsin and John Schneider, the blonde who played 'Bo Duke' was born in New York state!
Sorrell Booke who played 'Boss Hogg' was also born in New York state but you knew unlike the others, his southern accent was pretty thick and fake.

The three true-born Southerners were Ben Jones who played cousin 'Cooter' who was born in North Carolina, Sonny Shroyer who played 'Enos' who was born in Georgia and the recently deceased James Best (April 6, 2015) who played 'Rosco P Coltrane' and was born in Kentucky

Also the show is supposed to take place in Georgia but was filmed in Hollywood..

So here's some trivia tidbits on each of the eight main stars of the TV version of 'Dukes of Hazzard' and hope you enjoy~

* The popularity of his character 'Enos' led to a spinoff in 1980 which lasted 17 episodes.  Shroyer was smart enough to have put in his contract that if the show got cancelled, he could return full time to 'Dukes' (Unlike McLean Stevenson who left MASH and saw his character killed off so he could never return)
