Trump vs the Pope

~ Pope: "Guess which side of "fence" I am on regarding the US v Mexico illegal immigrant problem.. Ole!"

Whether readers like us, love us or loathe us, one thing all can agree on is that we don't mask our opinions; we state what we think and allow you to decide whether we've hit the nail on the head or slammed the hammer on our thumb

When it comes to this Presidential election, on the Democrat side, we like and support Bernie Sanders.

We don't agree with everything he stands for (in other words, pretty much all his positions outside of the economy we think are wrong) but that far surpasses a woman we put on par with Richard Nixon as the most vile, disgusting, power hungry, corrupt, rotten, snake-like politician & person in the last 50 years..

Yes that Hillary..
And on the Republican side...

Every day we are more in Love with 'the Donald'

It's beyond mere schoolgirl crush.. It's beyond infatuation..

It's L-L-L love..

Are we talking about his policies and what he'd do in office?

Admittedly no..
The excitement A&G feels toward Trump is about his combative, bombastic personality and complete utter fearlessness to pick fights or in some circumstances fight back vs entities the rest of the political world are Cowards toward.

Some are turned off by it..  Fine.

Many, many others are turned on which is why he's doing so well thus far vs the rest of the GOP rot..

Jeb '(whines) "Don't attack my brother George"' Bush?

Ben 'I was a real thug and criminal as a teen.. no, really I was!' Carson?

John 'I apologize to all Muslims for Trump (and anything else)' Kasich?

Yesterday Trump showed once more why he is the best person to be President at this given moment in our country's history.

He fought back vs a smug, asshole Pope who has no business injecting himself into US Presidential politics

Pope Francis speaking in Mexico essentially called Trump 'un-Christian' for his views on closing the US-Mexico border while being completely Ignorant to the fact the US is a secular nation, not a Catholic one that bows down to the will of the papacy.
Francis told reporters during a free-wheeling conversation on his flight home from a visit to Mexico, "A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian."

Asked if American Catholics should vote for someone with Trump's views, Francis said, "I am not going to get involved in that. I say only that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that. We must see if he said things in that way and in this I give the benefit of the doubt."

By the way Francis, what's your opinion on Pope Pius XII, known as 'Hitler's Pope'?  Was he a good Christian?
Francis is the most bullshit Pope the Catholic Church has had since Pius XII -- he is a panderer to the audience he speaks in front of and never says Anything that is critical of followers of the Church who worldwide have become more lazy and detached from faith and the Bible than ever before..

Last year Francis visited Cuba and did not say a single negative thing about Castro, then next stop was the US and there only then did he criticize the leader and Communism..

Real fucking brave and courageous!

Anyways back to Trump..
He called the comments disgraceful and its not for anyone to judge whether another is a Christian or not..

Then correctly stated that ISIS would love nothing more to possess the Vatican as a trophy and be careful judging because as President it would be he who'd be responsible for protecting it

Guess Frances forgot Matthew 7:1-2  "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

Or Luke 12: 13-14 "Someone in the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me." But He said to him, "Man, who appointed Me a judge or arbitrator over you?"
It is neither the Pope's place to judge what's in another's heart or to use one's faith as a barometer of one's politics..

But it played real well in Mexico where the Pope uttered his words and really that's all he cares about.. being 'cool' and 'hip' to modern 21st Cent Catholics who want to divorce and have abortions and every other vice without any contrition or feeling of doing against their teaching.

We stated this before but will say again..

It is our strong belief that every President in the last 3-4 decades who has been elected possessed a specific quality or trait which transcended 'D vs R' and appealed greatly to voters, and got elected because the previous President severely lacked in it..
For instance, right or wrong, President Carter was perceived as a depressing droopy-dog who allowed a pungent malaise to permeate American society as inflation rose and hostages were held in Iran with no end in sight

Reagan portrayed abundant enthusiasm and positivity in the nation and the voters back in 1980 were in desperate need of optimism and hope...

Bush Sr won on Reagan's coattails in 1988 but the qualities he possessed which Reagan seemed to lack in the second term were organization and accountability.   Reagan's Alzheimer's Disease was just starting to affect his mind and memory in his 2nd term..
Clinton won in 1992 because he conveyed compassion and caring for the problems people were going through during the 1991-92 recession and Bush seemed very disinterested and famously during one debate, kept looking at his watch as if he was missing 'Matlock' for this?

Most people won't admit it openly but by 2000, people were sick of Clinton's sex scandals and constant infidelities so chose a man they believed the opposite- a born again Christian 100% loyal to his wife, which W. Bush was and still is..

Of course many rightly or wrongly perceived Bush as a buffoon and imbecile so 'academic-looking' Obama with his great speech-giving and relaxing cadences was what people felt they needed to overcome the financial turmoil which of course never has gotten resolved..
And now in 2016, people are sick and tired of Obama's lack of commitment to anything outside of ObamaCare.   There's no passion- he never goes on the attack.

Dems feel he continually capitulates to Reps in Congress while Reps feel he's extremely weak in foreign policy while making policy decisions behind allies' backs.

Enter Donald Trump..

And we're positive that if he were to win in 2016, people ultimately would get sick of his bravado and bluster, and elect a milquetoast librarian type next..

But for now, Trump is what we need..
America hasn't had a leader who proudly and defiantly expressed the US is a great nation in quite some time; who didn't apologize meaninglessly for historical 'wrongs' and seek to appease our enemies

America as well has never had a President that was populist.

Trump isn't beating the field because he's attracting continual GOP voters.   He's winning because he's attracting people i.e. the 50% who historically never vote ever and feel completely disenfranchised and who now are excited to register Republican solely to vote for Trump!

That is why ultimately we believe Trump will win in November even if he never presents anything near a detailed plan on how to govern once in office.
