When They Use Lincoln to Justify Denying the Popular Vote

~ Abraham Lincoln.. He sure left his mark... Lots of them..

Ah, American Politics..

Always good for a laugh, a head shake or the prelude to a sip of pink pepto depending on your outlook

On the political left, you have Bernie Sanders now enjoying six victories in the last seven state contests vs that rotten to the core Hillary including last night's Wisconsin victory and the Establishment media still won't give up the narrative her nomination is a certainty.
So if you're a Sanders supporter and paying attention, you're feeling excitement and momentum that maybe, just maybe...

And if you are someone who likes Bernie but gets all your information from TV news and the like, its easy to feel 'Eh, what's the point?  The bitch will be the Democrat nominee'

Which of course is the point of all the stories written and 'experts' who constantly seek to poo-poo any chances someone representing real everyday people could actually be in a position to win
Then you got all those bastards on the political right..

The saboteurs mainly are Party officials themselves..

From the Washington Examiner:

"Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus cautioned supporters of Donald Trump who vocally disapprove of the GOP's delegate allocation and selection process.

"By the way, this is a nomination for the Republican Party," Priebus told 620 WTMJ in Wisconsin. "If you don't like the party, then sit down. The party is choosing a nominee."

How lovely..
And yet the RNC set up a million-billion nominee debates over the last 6 months..   Who exactly were they intended for -- the  millions of registered Republican voters or the hundreds of delegates?

On and on this farce goes..

Like vermin climbing up on top of each other to determine who ultimately will be King or Queen Rat..

The latest argument the Establishment Republican scum have been conveying through the news talk circuit is that a Convention where a different candidate than those people voted for in primaries, can tend to be a good thing and evoke that most horrid of names to justify stealing this election from Trump or Cruz..

You see, in 1860 Lincoln was far,far behind in the delegate voting after all the various state elections but since no one had the majority, the Party's big-wigs and financial backers decided among themselves..

And on the 4th ballot, ultimately Lincoln emerged and Ta-Da! became the nominee and ultimate President

So the rotten Republicans of today make that argument as political 'Keep Calm & Carry On'

Except for one problem..
Lincoln did not run against one Democrat in 1860.. He didn't even run against two candidates..

Lincoln ran against Three others!

So even though Lincoln's name was not on the ballot in a single state in the South, the three Democrats (each had different views on the slavery and secession questions) split their party's votes and Abe won...

And 620,000 Americans got to die over the next four years because of the newly elected President's stubbornness and ego...

We thought Bush & Obama were evil...
Voting is such a funny thing..

So many have fought (and died) for the right and so few understand all the ways the Establishment has sought to minimize its' importance but less get too wound up about it..

Hopefully this election if anything else will be about the Democrat and Republican voter seeing how they are shafted by their Parties and take very aggressive actions as needed to ensure the people they select as the party nominee Are the nominees going into November
